How To Deserve True Calling
To Deserve True Calling, you can be a worthy person to be entitled to it or you can do worthy actions to earn it.
To be a worthy person who is born with the True Calling is like a predestined King who is born with the entitlement to a kingdom. But the difference is that there will be no fanfare and royal orchestra announcing what True Calling you are born with. So, even if you are a worthy person, you don’t really know what worthy True Calling you deserve. If you are lucky, you might “find” your True Calling one day. But most people never found it.
The other more practical way to deserve True Calling is to do the worthy actions to earn it. If you do the work, you earn the salary deservedly. If you do good deed, you deserve to have something good happened to you. If you win the competition, you deserve the grand prize. You give this and you deserve to receive that. After what you did, you deserved that fittingly. You would not be comfortable taking something unless you feel like you deserve it. If you do the worthy actions consistently enough, it is not what you did that deserves it but it is you who deserve it.
So what are “the worthy actions”?
One of the worthy actions is to create your own path of True Calling and the matching outcome is that you deserve to walk on the path that you created for yourself.
To create your own path of True Calling is to define what area of interest you want to spend most of your time working in (Passion), assign meaning to the most important outcome you strive for (Purpose), and actually take actions to Master your Passion into the vocation that fulfills your Purpose.
The self-worth you assign to yourself when creating your path of True Calling determines the quality of the path you created. If you assign a high self-worth, you tend to create a more ambiguous True Calling. If you have a low self-worth, you may simply give up creating your True Calling altogether because you may not think you deserve it. If you don’t think you deserve to be happy, you won’t. If you don’t think you can achieve great things and excellence in life, you probably won’t even try to set the goal you really wanted. Even if you got it, you would push it away somehow.
Creating True Calling often involves creating a better path for other people you care deeply about, so the worthiness you assign to them also greatly affect the quality of the True Calling you create. What kind of person you are to deprive them of the happiness and fulfillment you True Calling can create for them? Who told you they are not worthy of it?
Earning the right to walk on the path of the True Calling you create today doesn’t mean you deserve to walk on it every day for the rest of your life unless you keep taking good care of it. You wouldn’t deserve it if you wear spiked track shoes and run on the path that is supposed to be walked slowly with bare feet. You wouldn’t deserve it if you walk cutting corners. You wouldn’t deserve it if you give up and stop walking easily when you encounter difficult challenges you set for yourself along the way.
You need to stay true to yourself by creating a path that you truly want. You will do it even if other people disapprove of you, laugh at you, have no belief in you. It is an important undertaking that is meaning to you personally. What is the one thing that you really wanted to do but always found excuses not to do it? Can you imagine turning it into a job that you would do every day or you would rather just do it occasionally?
You need to take actions to get on and stay on the path. Knowing what you are destined to do and not doing anything about it is a disrespect to the path your created and the people you care about. There is no short cut or easy way to get on your path quickly without effort. However, gradually but progressive, you can build your path with success track record. While having your ultimate goal in mind, you can first set a smaller and achievable goal. Once the smaller goal is achieved, your confidence will increase. Even when you failed to achieve the goals you set for yourself, you should never failed to learn the lessons so you can do it more effectively in the next trial.
You need to do your best to improve your craft of “walking on your own path” every day. There may be other “walkers” who walk better than you. They may walk faster, stronger, or more effortless than you. But on your path, you are the best. You are the best in walking in such a way unique and meaningful to the path you create. You are the best as you care about walking better and better on your path every day more than anyone else in the world.
You need to develop your path in such a way that is sustainable. For example, you can grow beautiful trees along your path that provides oxygen to you as well as other morning runners who need oxygen. If you do a great job in building your path for not only yourself but also for the others, they will not only be happy to support you financially to keep your great work going but they will also help you with their time and expertise if you encounter any challenges. In due course, you will create the right path and find the right people to share the joy of your True Calling.
And yes you deserve it!
